Mike Summers - September 2012:
Decided to head to Billings for a quick day trip. Billings background website:

. The airport is similar to the Great Falls Airport with the gates on an upper level and baggage claim and car rental desks on the lower level. There is a Metro Bus System for Billings, but it does not go to the airport. Your best bet is to rent a car. From the airport, I headed east on Interstate 90 to my first stop which was Little Bighorn Battlefield and the site of "Custer's Last Stand". It's about 50 miles one-way, but with the interstate speed limit at 75 mph, you can complete this drive in about a 40-45 minutes. Here's some websites about the Little Bighorn National Monument:

and

and

. You could easily spend a couple of hours here, but I only spent an hour on this trip. Once I returned to Billings, I checked out the Montana Brewing Company (Website:
http://www.montanabrewingcompany.com/
) for lunch. It's located at 113 N. Broadway, but it's also called 113 N. 28th Street. Very good food and beer can be found here. Right next door to the Brewery is the BIN 119 American Bistro and Wine Bar (Website:
http://www.bin119.net/
). It looked like an excellent place for dinner. Here's a dining guide for Billings that includes other places:

. There are three other breweries in Billings, but these three don't serve food. Here's a website:

for the brew trail. Here's some websites for things to do in Billings: 1) Moss Mansion

, 2) Rimrocks Hike

, 3) Pictograph Caves Park

) , and 4) Pompey's Pillar
http://www.pompeyspillar.org/
. If I did this trip again, I would probably fly out on one day, spend one night, and return on the next day. There is a Crowne Plaza in the heart of downtown. Here's a website for things to do in Billings:

.
